A selected form of our native privet. Evergreen in mild gardens, but will partially or totally defoliate in cold conditions. Small panicles of white flowers in high summer followed by black berries.

Position in full sun or partial shade in any well drained soil including chalk. Pollution tolerant so excellent in urban areas. Produced by cuttings.
