These are succulent, rosette-forming, evergreen perennials giving all year round colour. These very decorative plants are indispensable for the rock garden, raised bed, screen, dry wall or trough. Although the plants have attractive star shaped pink or pale yellow flowers in the summer, they are grown mainly for their colourful architectural foliage.
If you're thinking big, plant them in masses under yuccas or other succulents to form a fleshy mat.
Grow in moderately fertile well-drained soil in full sun. Protect from excessive winter wet.
