Trees
How tall are your trees? It’s a question regularly asked of our sales team who often quake inside as they weigh-up how best to respond honestly without sounding glib or supercilious. Trees are a living and growing thing. They are determined individuals. How you take control is as much a philosophical question as it is a practical and aesthetic one. We attempt to categorise our trees into three sizes: under 20ft, under 30ft, and over 30ft. This is, of course, a rough guide and the scale of them can vary on the siting of the tree and the way it’s clipped. You often see trees shaped as lollipops on our nursery (we are devoted to the beautifying benefits of topiarising) but this also makes them easier to care for in a container and convenient to transport once sold. If you like them like this – you just need to keep them clipped. If you are looking to nurture shapely grand specimens, you’ll need to formalise some sort of mutually collaborative relationship with them – and we can advise you on this. Have a good look through our collection, we have a wide range of deciduous and evergreen options, some of which are rare and some not so.
