Evergreen
The benefits of evergreen plants are obvious. Strong and sometimes spectacular, they’re textural, voluminous, shapely, and reliably green all year round – particularly through those difficult winter months. We use them to set the foundations of every garden that we design whether it be formal or exotic. The classification for this group of plants can often be identified by the addition of the Latin noun ‘sempervirens’ denoting the sub-species of the broader genus (or family). This is a derivation from the Latin words, ‘semper’, meaning, always, and ‘vivus’, meaning alive or flourishing.
