Here at Architectural Plants, we’ve been curating a unique collection of Bonsai, homegrown and selected for their individual shape, texture and character. Each one has a distinctive personality and presence and each variety is available in a range of different sizes. Choosing Your Bonsai

Pinus ‘Bonsai’
Evergreen, architectural and full of character. Our Pinus bonsai have been chosen for their individual shapes, aged trunks and sculptural form.
Cotoneaster ‘Bonsai’
A little softer, but with just as much personality. Fine branching, small leaves and plenty of seasonal interest make our Cotoneaster bonsai fascinating little specimens.

Niwaki Mini Secateurs Japanese Pruners
These mini secateurs are perfectly suited to the precise, delicate work involved in caring for bonsai. Their compact size makes them ideal for getting into tight spaces, whether you’re cutting small stems, pruning back leaves or tidying fine growth to maintain the shape of your bonsai. Forged for strength, they give you excellent control.
Niwaki Sentei Secateurs
Great value drop-forged carbon steel secateurs, with a nice soft spring action and the simple lock catch at the bottom. Learn to open the catch with your little finger. These are ideal for tackling the thicker stems and branches that the mini secateurs may struggle with, while still giving you plenty of control for precise pruning.
Niwaki Okatsune Garden Scissors
General purpose garden scissors that are particularly well suited to the precise work of bonsai. Ideal for pine pruning, thinning evergreen growth, trimming foliage and working in tighter areas where accuracy really matters. Remarkably strong, yet delicate and precise, they’re a useful addition to any bonsai toolkit.
