An ideal street tree that remains slender, reaching 12m x 4m over 20 years or so. The leaves are willow shaped, green above and silver below. If both male and female trees are present, the inconspicuous flowers can produce orange berries. The foliage becomes a soft yellow before falling in the autumn.
Plant in full sun in any well drained, even poor soil. Very drought tolerant once established. Pollution and salt resistant. Prune if needed. Propagated by cuttings.
