Acers

We may be famous for evergreens and sculptural shapes, but we have a real weakness for the delicate architecture and seasonal fireworks of Acers. Our collection ranges from the coppery, peeling trunks of Acer griseum to the lace‑leaf elegance of dissectum varieties and the upright poise of Acer palmatum ‘Bloodgood’, each chosen for its silhouette and ever‑changing foliage. Give them a sheltered spot and a plain backdrop and they’ll reward you with lime‑green fans in spring, rich burgundy in summer and blazing scarlet in autumn – or plant several together for a woodland of colour. Wander through our Acer House and you’ll see how these small trees bring lightness and drama to our nursery throughout the year.

A plant lovers dream…
It is an absolutely wonderful treasure trove for any plant lover and we will be back (frequently!) The plants are all in superb condition, with an enormous variety to choose from. The staff are very professional and knowledgable, but also friendly and helpful.
