Rosmarinus officinalis ‘Roman Beauty’ was discovered in Beaulieu in Hampshire, the specific parents are unknown though it was found growing near an un-named prostrate rosemary, but it is an excellent compact variety growing to 1m by 1m. As with all Rosmaries, it does best in full sun on a free-draining, poor soil. The densely foliaged branches arch to form a neat shrub that carries classic blue Rosemary flowers for much of the summer. It can be clipped as required. A good friend to bees and cooks.
