Ilex x ‘Nellie R. Stevens’ – Standards
£495.00
This form of Holly is a cross between the English ilex aquifolium and the Chinese Ilex cornuta. Hardy and evergreen but not particularly prickly of leaf so it is excellent for topiary. It is a female holly that bears masses of white flowers and as it is self fertile it reliably carries lots of red berries.
Place in sun or light shade and in the ground (if possible). Tough as old boots. Clip regularly. It originated as a natural cross found in Maryland USA in the 1900s. Produced by cuttings.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Photos represent the plants at their different stages. Your plant may arrive with new/loose roots, having been recently pruned or cut to enhance it's growth.
