Have we got the name right? Is it a Joshua tree? Is it a mexican dagger? Does it matter? Not really. They seem hardy - theres an old one at Wisley and an even older one growing in Bury St Edmunds but they're not exactly common in these here parts. !0ft after 40 years? Huge white flower spikes in summer.
Position in full fun and pretty sharp drainage - avoid strong winds or keep in a pot. Produced by seed.
