The masses of flower buds are a purply-pink opening to white and are then followed by orange-red fruits about 1cm across.
An easy and hardy tree that will thrive in full sun on any moist but well drained soil. Because it produces so many flowers and so much fruit, it is worth feeding and watering as needed. Prune as necessary. Propagated by cuttings or grafted.
