Edgeworthia chrysantha ‘Grandiflora’ (Japanese Paperbush or Worthingtonia)

This beautiful east Asian shrub resembles some of the exotic Echiums but is deciduous and bears large and copious fragrant yellow flowers in late winter. Well behaved (slow growing). Sarah H's favourite: 'Sumptuous perfume and velvet buds as soft as lambs' ears."

Requires a sheltered spot as the flowers are prone to frost in the spring. A south or west wall would be ideal. Full sun or light shade in good soil. Propagated by cuttings.
