Chlorophytum comosum

Well known as the most resilient of houseplants, their thick fleshy roots give them a buffer against drought and neglect. Spider plants can also look really good when planted outdoors for the summer though they can't survive cold or frosty weather.

INdoors they need indirect or notherly light, while outdoors they will thrive if planted in dappled shade to nearly full sun. They originate in regions of Africa from the Cape north to sub tropical and tropical forests. Produced by offsets.
