How It All Started
As a business we limit our involvement in shows like the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, we find that 3 years in a row is a good length of time. We like to keep our ideas fresh and the teams enthusiasm high.
Chelsea 2024: Blobbery, Box Alternatives & Bold Structure
In 2024 we had a small trade stand outside the Great Pavilion, we showcased our Buxus (Box) alternatives using a BlobberyTM style planting scheme. We used three mature cube head Taxus baccata as the main feature plants encased in our bespoke Copper wraps.
Moving Into the Great Pavilion: Chelsea 2025
Our goal for 2025 was to proudly join the many amazing growers in the Great Pavilion, it’s a horticultural sweet shop inside, and our exhibit celebrated our AP Homegrown apprenticeship scheme and our extended plant range.

We tend to stand out at Chelsea – we use shape and structure, mainly evergreens. We are a safe space for those that like adventurous, bold and brave planting – a way to escape from the mainly perennial, wild gardens.
The Team Behind the Stand
Olivia was a star, managing this whole show for us. This was amongst her 3rd year of a Degree Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing. A massive achievement to keep us all in check. Our apprentices (from AP Homegrown) and other skilled horticulturalists from our team helped us to build the stand – a celebration of our homegrown plant range including towering Pseudopanax, Wollemia and the magical Trochodendron multi stem. Designed by Amy (our Senior Garden Designer), myself and our in-house team.
The Team Behind the Stand
A Standout Year
The metal pathway we created allowed visitors to make the journey through our stand, explore our Plant Hunter’s hut, lead them through the interior delights from the Green Room range, and out to the large Redwood table (a Sequoia from Reigate actually), designed and made at our Sussex nursery.
Looking Ahead to Chelsea 2026
So, 2025 is going to be a hard one to beat. This year, we have a stand that is 50% bigger, that is centred within the Great Pavilion. We’ll certainly be visible from the Chelsea Hospital Avenue.

So, what is this year all about?
- We are going back to our foundations by using a big leafed, exotic palette of plants – intermingled with our very tasty topiary. It’s a planting fusion, acknowledging our 30 year old palm logo.
- Inspiring and educating is the xylem that runs through us. Engaging our team, as well as new and existing Plant Hunters, is at the top of our list- we will be running plant demos throughout the week, from Niwaki to Bonsai to general clipping, shaping and stripping.
- Planting Design – Amy, our Senior Garden Designer, has worked with our in-house planting design team to create our garden this year. It’s an example of what can be achieved using plants -plants are our passion after all.

For those visiting the show, do come and see us (we may even have a glass of English sparkling wine for you.)
With more updates coming very soon on our Chelsea 2025 build, why not take a moment to explore our carefully curated collection of plants, available both at our nursery and through our online shop? Whether you’re looking to add a unique touch to your garden or seeking the perfect plant for your next project, we have something to inspire every garden enthusiast.
And what a year it turned out to be. We had an extended feature on the BBC and I had the pleasure of meeting HMK, an opportunity to discuss our ongoing project at Windsor Castle.

Our plant list is ready, our signage is designed and in production, and our garden has some exciting new features to explore. Including the metal walkway being extended, which is designed by us and made in Sussex by a duo of talented craftsmen. Our Plant Hunter’s Hut is making its 3rd appearance, now including a new booth designed to welcome you to the ‘Wonderful World of Architectural Plants’.
