Pinus parviflora ‘Hagaromo Seedling’
£127.50 incl. VAT
A miniature, miniature pine tree whose name translates as ‘Angel’s Cloak’. This charming form of the Japanese White pine is a mature tree at no more than 40cms in height and 50cms across. It grows at a rate of roughly 1cm annually and carries dense clusters of short blue-grey needles, gently developing over time into a blobby little bush-shaped tree. Perfect for the smaller garden, raised beds, rockeries, pots or troughs. It could also be gorgeous if pruned as a bonsai.
Like all pines, it is best grown in an open sunny spot on well drained soil that is on the acid side of neutral. Use your fingers to give it an occasional comb-through to remove any dead needles.
