We believe these to be hybrids between the blue flowered Puya alpestris and the green flowered Puya chilensis that are native to the Chilean Andes. Amazing rosettes of arching silver grey leaves are margined with hooked spikes. They can take several years before flowering and can spread to 50 x 50cm.

Well drained soil an a fairly sunny spot in mild gardens - excellent on the coast. Happy in a pot for a ridiculously long time. Produced by seed.
