Miscanthus sinensis (Eulalia or Elephant Grass)

Whilst a reliable grower this is a fine textured feathery grass that can reach 1.8m in height. In mi to late summer it produces pale pink to creamy white flowers. The foliage turns a classic buff colour in the autumn and can be beautiful when seen early on a frosty morning.

Best positioned in full sun in any reasonably well drained soil. Not invasive. Cut hard back in spring before the new growth starts for nice new foliage unsullied by last year's dead stuff. Produced by Division.
