Little known evergreen, self clinging climber from Mexico. Big leaves, white frothy flowers, slow growing but long lived so will cover a house – eventually.

Deeply dissected and with prominent veining, the giant oak shaped leaves cover the shrub from spring to autumn. The plant can grow to 2m x 2m and in summer, carries giant cone-shaped white flower heads that age first to pink and finally a soft brown. In autumn the leaves turn shades of bronze and purple before falling.
Plant in a sheltered spot, in partial sun in rich, moisture retentive soil. In the spring, tidy stems to a good pair of buds and prune out a third of the stems to the base. Produced 'by cuttings'.
