Very, very slow growing, needing maybe 30 years to reach 2.5m and then growing slowly up to 12m.

Position: Plant in any moist but well drained soil in sun or partial shade, but out of the cold northerly winds. Site in borders as an accent plant, in rock gardens, raised beds or in pots and troughs. Propagated by cuttings.
