If you love pinks and reds then this is the tree for you. A little tree, only getting to about 3m in height, the pinky-purple new leaves are margined with bright pink in the spring. The leaves turn a reddish-purple in the summer followed by a deeper in the Autumn.

Best grown with their feet in the shade and head in the sun in well drained moist to neutral to acid soil. Protect from cold and drying winds. Prune lightly for health but never when the sap is rising in the spring. Produced by cuttings/grafted.
