Libertia grandiflora (Tukauki or Mikoikoi)

Clump forming evergreen from New Zealand, to 1 x 1m over 5 years with long lasting white, orchid-like flowers in summer on spikes to 1.2m. Equally good in mixed borders or for prairie planting.

Sun or light shade in a protected south or west facing position. Don't plant in a bog, grows on loam, clay and chalk. Regular watering increases flowering. Trim out tatty leaves in the spring cutting to the ground if necessary. 'By seed by us'
