Hunt for the world's most exciting plants

Panicum virgatum

Perennial and rhizomatour grass. The clumps can grow up to 100 x 100cms with soft grassy leaves. The browny/purple flowers develop on arching stems in the late summer and autumn.

Plant in full sun in any well-drained soil. Best in south and west facing positions and out of the cold netherly winds. Propagated by seeds.
