Wisteria brachybotrys 'Yokohama Fuji'

Deciduous, anticlockwise-twining climber. In May or June, the flowers emerge as 10-15cms long racemes of scented lilac-purple, followed by long velvety seedpods. Eventual height 9m x 5m spread.

Position: Happy in an soil, fairly drought tolerant once established. Full sun to partial shade, though better flowering in sunny spots. Prune back whippy growth in summer and reshape in winter. ‘By cuttings/grafted.
