This is one of the best clump forming bamboos you can have. We home grow them which makes them so special. It's going to take a wee while for them to be used as screening though because we propagate them but if you want a beautiful feathery bamboo to 'grow up' in your garden then this is it. It can reach 8m or so eventually and it's worth the wait.
It likes full sun but will tolerate dappled shade. Shelter it from cold northerly winds though.
You cannot split Chusquea so we have to propagate them from seed which is why they are taking their sweet time.
