Acer × freemanii (the naturally occurring hybrid of A. saccharinum and A. rubrum from the eastern USA) ‘Autumn blaze’ makes a striking multistem tree. Fast growing and full of presence, its elegant framework of stems supports a canopy that blazes with colour in autumn.
