Badly organised deliveries can spoil our reputation and ruin your day and so we take this subject seriously. We'll discuss with you, in the minutest detail, how to get your plants from us to you, in safety, using one of our liveried vehicles, a variety of ingenious mechanical contraptions and intelligent, thoughtful drivers who understand their role in the business. Ask for a quote.

D.I.Y Delivery - Hire A Van

Not such a silly idea. We boast about the enormous number of plants we can pack in the back of an average hatchback, but when did you last hire a van? Not only do you avoid our delivery charge, you get your plants immediately, you enjoy a better view than from a car and (providing it's white) all other road users flee from your path in terror. Good fun. Try Budget Rent A Car - Tel: 0844 581 2231 for central reservations. They seem to be the biggest in the business and have a good range of sizes, some with electric lifts in the rear. We tried to do a deal with them ("just mention Architectural Plants and you'll get it half price") but they weren't remotely interested so here's the name of another firm: Thrifty Car Hire - Tel 01494 751500 to get in touch with their nearest depot. Thrifty do lots of vans and will deliver to your house.

Mail Order by City Link Ltd - An Act of Faith

This service should NOT be confused with the one where the plants arrive all scrunched up in a parcel. The plants are beautifully packed in our specially made open top boxes and kept upright throughout their journey. The service is guaranteed next day delivery and on the very rare occasions a plant is damaged - we replace it immediately and City Link's Insurers pay! We send plants out by City Link on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We recognise the faith you're putting in us (buying plants unseen) and therefore try hard to choose the best plants we have in stock to send you.

Proud as we are of this service, we regret that it's more prescriptive than it used to be - plants can only be sent by City Link if they are less than 4 feet tall, including the pot. You'll need to speak to us about sizes.

Please note that orders can be taken and despatched from either nursery.

The minimum cost for this delivery service is £25 per box - typically about 6 plants in 3 litre containers - and £40 for two boxes. These prices only apply to mainland Britain: please ask us to quote for Northern Ireland, offshore islands and other EEC countries.

Online Ordering

We don't offer an online ordering service, quite simply because we need to talk to you about your choice of plants. From our experience we have found conversations to be the most beneficial to all involved, face to face is always best but if this is not possible then please call us.

We are always happy to talk during the week and make suggestions. However, in spring and over weekends we are extremely busy and you may find the phone is sometimes engaged.
