Christine Shaw

Christine at her drawing board

Christine worked at Architectural Plants between 1991 and 2011 and was based at our Chichester nursery from 1996. During her term with us she reckons she's been involved with 500 gardens throughout the south of England - many of which have been designed either by her or in close cooperation with the customer. She loved the work and knows she has lots of satisfied customers because of the number of presents and lunches they gave her.

In 2003 she wrote her first book for Harper Collins on architectural plants which is now out of print but in 2005 she wrote the well known hard back 'Architectural Plants' which is still available. It's not an in-house publication but it might as well be as it's based on Christine's considerable experience here and covers all the plants we grow. This book is a remarkable vessel of knowledge and is considered by many to be the most authoritative publication on the subject.
