As a business, we have always believed in the importance of supporting charity. We have great pleasure in working with charities that have a particular focus on horticulture. The charities we support work tirelessly to improve the lives of others through horticulture which is something we admire greatly. Here are some of the charities we are working with currently.
Keith Brown (pictured, right) has spent many years fundraising and campaigning to transform the community land close to his home in Billingshurst.
With plants donated from Architectural Plants and other local businesses, Keith and his team have transformed a bland grassy area into an entirely accessible, colourful and fun garden for the community to enjoy. It features a sensory garden, play areas for children of all ages and picnic and BBQ areas.
We dontate plants to Keith and his team and it's a real joy to watch the garden maturing. Do take a visit next time you're in the area.
Streetscape is an award winning social enterprise that provides apprenticeships in landscape gardening to 18-25 year olds who are long-term unemployed. The charity helps these young people to build the skills, experience and confidence they need to fulfill their huge potential and move into and retain work.
The charity was founded in 2010 by our Managing Director, Guy Watts and his friend James Gubb. As well as working for residential and commercial clients, the charity have produced show gardens at RHS Chelsea and RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Shows and are holders of one Gold and two Silver-Gilt medals.
